  6.    Mini dB is a program to create a database and also to manage the databases
  7. that were created.  A template library is installed for your use and preview.
  8. The template library is an IDEA generator which you can edit/modify to meet
  9. your needs. Mini is fast and friendly.
  10.    You can also create databases for EXPORT and Sale, we encourage this and
  11. will help in promoting to the Mini dB audience. Future editions will have
  12. facilities to create Books, Manuals and Catalogs for companies and educational
  13. institutions.
  14.    Future versions of Mini dB will be improved such as the print facility,
  15. labeling, defining fields for printing, text printing, export paths disk
  16. drives and a few other goodies.
  17.                          ---  REQUIREMENTS: ---
  18.  Mini dB will work on a single drive such as A:. Hard disk installation is
  19. recommended.  Ram memory requirements are minimum 512k. EGA is recommended as
  20. this shows the colors alot nicer than CGA. The program does however work with
  21. Monochrome monitors very nicely. Since all fields are actively indexed you
  22. must have FILES=20 and BUFFERS=20 in you're CONFIG.SYS file.  For hard disk
  23. installation we recommend creating a subdirectory called C:\MINI and copying
  24. the mini files there and setting PATH in your autoexec.bat file to look in
  25. that directory.  For those of you needing help on installation to drive C: we
  26. have included INSTALLC.BAT file to help install Mini dB to your Hard disk.
